FACET facility at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory

The FACET facility at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory will provide high energy density electron and positron beams for plasma wakefield acceleration and other user driven experiments. FACET will begin commissioning this summer with the first dedicated user run in early 2012.

A satellite meeting during PAC'11 in New York will update the user community regarding FACET's capabilities and the process of submitting proposals for new experiments. The meeting will take place at the Marriott Marquis (conference hotel) Tuesday March 29, 2011 from 6 PM - 8 PM in the Brecht Room on the 4th Floor. A series of short presentations will summarize:
  • The FACET Facility
  • Scientific Opportunities
  • The Proposal Process and Timeline
  • Questions and Answers

Please join us for refreshments, appetizers and a chance to learn more about this exciting opportunity.
