Citation:

"For demonstrating the trade-offs associated with feedback-induced criticality in multicellular sensing, through analysis of simple models, which is published in the article entitled ‘Multicellular sensing at a feedback-induced critical point’ in Physical Review E 102, 052411 (2020)."

Background:

Michael Vennettilli graduated from Ursinus College in 2016, earning B.S. degrees in physics and mathematics. He went on to complete a PhD in physics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2021. His PhD work focused on understanding limits to cellular sensing and information processing, continuing along the line of thought initiated by Berg and Purcell. As of September 2021, he is currently a postdoctoral researcher AMOLF, where he will be developing computational models of intestinal organoids in close collaboration with experiments to understand the maintenance and function of rare cell types.
