Help recognize outstanding contributions made by early-career elementary particle physicists and help promote the careers of exceptionally promising scientists by donating to the Henry Primakoff Award. This award is named in honor of the noted physicist Henry Primakoff, whose research interests included spin waves in ferromagnetism, the photo-production method for measuring the short lifetimes of neutral mesons, underwater shock waves, and weak interaction phenomena in nuclei, including double beta decay, muon capture, and neutrino scattering.
This annual award was established in 2011 and we are working to increase this award from a $3,000 stipend to $5,000 so it is on par with other APS awards recognizing early-career physicists.
The American Physical Society would like to thank these generous donors for their contributions to the Primakoff Award:
Help honor the memory of Henry Primakoff and recognize the outstanding contributions made by early-career particle physicists and promote the careers of exceptionally promising scientists!
