Background:

Greg Dick has over 25 years of experience leading and catalyzing change in the education and outreach sectors around the globe. Key to that success, have been building meaningful relationships that fuel ambitious partnerships. As the Executive Director of Advancement and Senior Director of Public Engagement at Perimeter Institute, Greg led an incredibly talented team with a long track record of success - from a global education advocacy network spanning more than 130 countries, to philanthropic partnerships that drove foundational science. Together, the Outreach team at Perimeter developed and shared ground-breaking resources that educators used in their classrooms to bring modern physics to life for their students. They also worked to popularize physics with the broader public, developing a made-for-TV documentary, Quantum Tamers, a feature IMAX production, Secrets of the Universe, a dark matter video game, and a 1500 square foot travelling exhibition that explored themes from quantum to the cosmos. Greg’s passion for education was seeded during his early career as a high school physics teacher and department chair, where he authored several textbooks and co-created a unique Environmental Technology course. His work in this space continues today, teaching pre-service teacher candidates at Brock University in Canada and advising emerging social enterprises in STEM outreach.
