APS is pleased to announce that we’ve contracted Plus One Meetings to provide onsite child care to meeting attendees.
Children will have the opportunity to participate in scheduled activities or to engage in free play if they prefer. Participation is always encouraged, never forced. There are always multiple choices for children to choose from and enough program leaders to ensure each child has the attention they require. We take the theme and create fun, innovative activities that keep kids engaged and smiling throughout the day. There’s plenty of room for play and silliness. The most common comment from our clients is, “I wish I could go to your program instead!”
Infants enjoy separate play and rest areas and, of course, lots of love. Our caregivers adjust to the infant’s schedule and routine. And if a baby won’t sleep outside the caregiver’s arms, well, we’re happy to rock and snuggle as long as it takes. For toddlers, we provide toys and activities designed to let little ones explore, play, and take in their surroundings as their age and interest level allows.
Every Plus One Meetings program offers the following common elements:
Plus One Meetings offers a mobile app called ProCare that allows parents to securely sign children in and out of our programs. The app also offers parents a way to communicate with caregivers and Program Managers. We can send pictures, ask questions, and respond to inquiries. We also use the app to conduct our regular face-to-face head counts throughout the day.

Weekly rate (per child): $663.75
Half-day weekly rate (per child): $332

Small grants of up to $500 are available for APS virtual meeting attendees who incur extra expenses for child or elder care during the meeting. Grants are available for the March Meeting attendees. Please make sure you are filling out the correct form. Expenses must be documented by receipts. In the event that the number of requests for grants exceeds the funding available, preference will be given to applicants in the early stages of their careers.
Applications open when meeting registration opens. To be considered for a grant, complete the application by the given deadline.
*APS does not provide or recommend caregiving providers and does not assume responsibility or liability for caregiving services of any sort. It is the responsibility of the parent(s) or guardian(s) to thoroughly investigate all caregiving providers.
If the number of requests for grants exceeds the funding, preference will be given to applicants in the early stages of their careers and applicants who have not received a caregiver grant in the past year.
APS reserves the right to deny funds to applicants who misrepresent their funding needs.
If the need for your grant changes between when you applied and the date of the meeting, you must contact APS to explain. You will be notified if your need is still eligible for funding.

Testimonials
"I must say this program was very helpful for me, as it covered about half of my costs of bringing my child with me. Otherwise, I wouldn't have brought her and couldn't attend the full conference."
"I am very grateful for the childcare grant since it allowed me to pay partially the expenses incurred by traveling with my own babysitter. I think this type of initiative is really important and deserves to be continued on a regular basis."
Nominees for and holders of APS Honors (prizes, awards, and fellowship) and official leadership positions are expected to meet standards of professional conduct and integrity as described in the APS Ethics Guidelines.
