New Fellows of the American Physical Society nominated from the Forum on Education

In November, two APS members were named Fellows of the APS nominated from the Forum on Education. John Belcher (left photo) of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was cited: For developing 3D electromagnetic field visualization tools and for the creation and large-scale implementation of a studio-based, active learning version of introductory physics, TEAL. Stephen C. McGuire (right photo) of Southern University and A&M College, was cited: For his leadership in exploring new ways for research physicists, traditional educators and museum professionals to work together to engage students and the public, particularly under-represented groups, in the excitement of physics.
