Anashe BandariAnashe is a fifth-year physics graduate student at William & Mary doing research in experimental nuclear physics at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility. Prior to being Chair-Elect, she served as Secretary for FGSA and as an ex-officio member of the Committee on Careers and Professional Development. Outside of physics, she plays roller derby and loves trivia.

Raju GhimireRaju Prasad Ghimire is a graduate student of Nanoscience and Microsystem Engineering at the University of New Mexico. He holds a master’s degree in data science and electrical engineering from South Dakota State University (08/2015-08/2018), USA and graduate degree in physics from Tribhuvan University (01/2008-01/2011), Nepal. His research interest includes but not limited to ultra-conductor, composites, energy storage, semiconductor application, and renewable energy.

Duwage Perera (01/19 - 12/21) 
University of Maine

Duwage PereraDuwage Charitha Perera is a fourth year PhD student in Physical Chemistry at the University of Maine. She got her bachelor’s degree from University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. Her research area is quantum mechanical studies of catalysis using density functional theory (DFT). Being an Executive member in the Graduate School Government in University of Maine motivated her in engaging with FGSA and other outreach. FGSA is a great platform for both physics and chemistry graduate students. Apart from research she likes to travel and cook.
