International Research Travel Award Program
(formerly the International Travel Grant Award Program)

Following the initiative of the APS Forum on International Physics, APS recognizes recognizes that funding for collaborations between developed and developing country scientists is often insufficient to meet existing needs and opportunities.

While the needs are great, and though we have only limited resources to stimulate growth of longer-term collaborations, we believe that an International Research Travel Award Program (IRTAP) (formerly the International Travel Grant Award Program (ITGAP)), even a modest one, may make a significant difference.

PHYSICS MATTERS — On-line Colloquia Series

The APS Forum on International Physics (FIP) is pleased to present the PHYSICS MATTERS on-line colloquia series. The main goal of these on-line colloquia as part of the “Physics for Development” program of FIP is to support international engagement for APS among students and early career physicists, targeting developing country audiences, especially in a time when, due to the COVID pandemic, travel is difficult or even impossible.
