Distinguished Student (DS) Travel Grant 2021

Extended application deadline: December 6, 2020

The Distinguished Student Program (DS) recognizes that bringing outstanding students to the annual APS meetings can be a career-changing experience.

However, the Forum on International Physics (FIP) and APS also recognize that funding available to the students is often insufficient to meet existing needs and opportunities. To overcome these difficulties, the FIP and APS established the DS Program to provide outstanding Non-US students with financial support to participate in the APS Meetings.

This year, in alignment with the FIP Strategic Goals for 2020-21, the DS Program decided to focus on a specific region. It will target ONLY the following countries: Jordan, Pakistan and North Africa.

Students enrolled in institutions in these countries (Jordan, Pakistan and North Africa) are invited to apply for the DS travel grants for participating in the APS April Meeting 2021.

Both graduate students and exceptional undergraduates will be considered.
Successful applicants will be invited to the April Meeting 2021 to present their work.

The deadline for the application is December 6, 2020.
